The internationally recognized IOSA certificate is awarded to airlines after an in-depth audit by independent bodies under the supervision of IATA. IATA member airlines are required to obtain IOSA registry and have to renew it every two years.
The IOSA program was initiated in 2003; meanwhile, more than 200 airlines have been certified.
The audit covers the main aspects of safety in an airline’s operation, including flight operations, maintenance, dispatch, security and crew training, but also cargo operations and ground handling
