Bonjour, chers tous ! Du "business" pour RR auprès de Mexicana, maintenant que cette Cie. a pris en leasuing des B717-200 !

Rolls-Royce has signed a long-term engine service agreement worth more than $350 million with Mexicana Group for the fleet of aircraft operated by its low-cost subsidiary, MexicanaClick.
The TotalCare agreement covers 25 newly leased Boeing 717-200s, powered by Rolls-Royce BR715 engines.

Merci ! Vous savez, alain57,....... j'avais le souvenir d'avoir créé un sujet sur la famille BR-700, ... et j'ai cherché ! Je n'ai pas trouvé !

S'il est préférable de fermer le topic que je viens d'ouvrir, en transférant le post incriminé sous le topic existant, je n'y vois aucun inconvénient !

Je crois que j'ai dû être encore sur les rails de l'aspect "incident", sous le topic "Incidents / Accidents Mineurs" ! Smile

PS : je n'ai pas changé de sexe, ... ce w/e ! Wink

PS :

Additif au pôst ci-dessus. Je croyais avoir écrit un post sur les winglets (y compris "B757-200 avec winglets", en utilisant le cas de Continental Airlines comme illustration).

Je ne le trouve plus. J'ai un vague souvenir que le post a 'disparu', au moment de poster (nous avons tous connu ce genre de déboire, ..... y compris avec l'oubli de travailler d'abord sous MSWord ! ).

Aussi, il est possible que je n'ai pas pu récupérer le texte, puisqe cette affaire a dû se situer aux alentours de notre problème de "black-out" !

Mais, si quelqu'un sait ou je l'aurais posté, le cas échéant, .... je suis preneur de l'information, ... pour que je puisse rebondir sur les récrnts posts sur "B757-200 & Winglets" !

merci sevrien, désolé pour les fautes d'orthographes, j'ai rédigé pendant mon travail ce matin en double écran, en passant de l'un à l'autre. scratch

de plus l'orthographe a toujours était un boulet pour moi.. boulet

Rolls-Royce wins certification for BR725 engine

Rolls-Royce has clinched European certification for its BR725 engine, paving the way for Gulfstream
to begin the flight-test campaign later this year of its new G650
ultra-long-range business jet, which the BR725 has been selected to
power.
The first pair of engines has been handed over to the Savannah,
Georgia-based manufacturer and have been installed on the first
prototype - serial number 1.
"We are supplying eight engines for the [three] prototypes - three
sets and two spares - and will begin deliveries in the middle of next
year of the engines for the first production aircraft," says chief
engineer for the BR725 programme Martin Maltby. The high-speed G650 is
scheduled for certification and service entry in 2011 and 2012
respectively.
The 16,100lb-thrust (72kN) BR725 is the most advanced member of the
BR700 engine series and the sixth new powerplant added to the company's
civil aerospace portfolio within the past six years.
R-R says the engine produces 4.6% more take-off thrust than its
BR710 predecessor, which powers the G650's long-range stablemate the
G550, but generates around 20% less NOx and "no visible" smoke. The
BR725 is also more than 33% quieter than the BR710, coming in at 16dB
below Stage 4 noise limits.
The engine also features a 1.27m (4.16ft)-diameter fan - up 5cm from
the BR710 fan - made up of 24 "swept" titanium blades for improved
aerodynamic efficiency. The new, all-composite nacelle has a new inlet
cowl to house the larger fan.

Le moteur du Gulfstream G650, le RR BR 725, vient de recevoir sa certification de la FAA. Il avait déja reçu celle de l'EASA en juin 2009.

Rolls-Royce BR725 engine receives FAA Type certification

Rolls-Royce, the global power systems company, has received type certification from the US Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) for its BR725 engine, which powers the world’s fastest civil aircraft, the Gulfstream G650 business jet.
The certification covers a thrust rating of 16,100lbf (71.6 kN) and follows certification from the European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) in June 2009. FAA certification completes airworthiness approvals by the two major international authorities and is the result of an intensive series of safety, endurance and performance tests.
The G650 flight test programme has been underway since 25 November 2009, with entry into service of the ultra-long-range business jet planned for 2012.
Dr. Michael Haidinger, President, Rolls-Royce Deutschland and Chief Operating Officer Corporate & Regional Engines Rolls-Royce, said: "This year has been full of highlights for the BR725 engine programme. We have obtained EASA certification, seen the engine take the G650 to the air for the first time and now the BR725 has also been certified by the US authority. At our Dahlewitz facility in Germany we have already assembled the first two production engines. I would like to thank both the airworthiness authorities for their professionalism and Gulfstream for its continued support throughout the certification process.”
The BR725 is the most advanced member of the BR700 engine series. Incorporation of latest technology has lead to improved performance, efficiency, fuel consumption, emissions and engine life. The engine enables the G650 to travel 7,000 nautical miles at Mach 0.85 and reach a maximum operating speed of Mach 0.925, making it the fastest civil aircraft. The aircraft can reach a ceiling of 51,000 feet, which allows it to avoid traffic and inclement weather.
