for good reason: The Mexico City-based airline expects to take delivery
of its first SSJ100 by the end of this month.

Conventions for the past several years, SuperJet International–the
Venice, Italy-based Western sales and support apparatus for the SSJ100–promises to play a “core” role in Interjet’s planned expansion in Mexico and the surrounding region.

Along with its initial order for 15 of the airplanes and subsequent option conversion on another five,
Interjet signed on for SuperJet International’s SuperCare
“per-flight-hour” aftersales program, supported by a new parts warehouse
for the Americas in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. As part of the deal with
Interjet, SuperJet has agreed to offer on-site technical support in
Mexico with a dedicated engineering team during what the company calls
the entry-into-service period and a permanent field service
representative on site for three years.

The first example of the Sukhoi Superjet 100, which will enter into
service with the Mexican airline Interjet, will be presented on 18 June
at Le Bourget during the International Paris Air Show 2013

On May 31, 2013, the first Sukhoi Superjet 100 in full specification was delivered to Aeroflot.



In 2005, JSC “Aeroflot” and JSC “Sukhoi Civil Aircraft” (SCAC) signed
a contract for delivery of 30 Sukhoi Superjet 100 aircraft in standard
specification – single class arrangement for 98 passenger seats. Later,
the airline decided to improve the aircraft specifications including the
arrangement, passenger cabin equipment, and avionics.



Some changes requested by Aeroflot required further aircraft
modifications. In order to avoid delivery delays, the parties agreed
that the first 10 SSJ100 would be delivered to Aeroflot in “light”
specification and later replaced by aircraft in “full” contract
specification (“full”).



The delivery of the first ten SJ100 aircraft is financed by
VEB-leasing JSC as part of the financial lease agreement concluded with
Aeroflot in 2009. The first Sukhoi Superjet 100 was delivered to
Aeroflot by the Ulyanovsk branch of VEB-leasing JSC.



Full and light specifications differ in several respects. The full
specification aircraft includes an upgraded Flight Management System
(FMS) and a weather radar equipped with a wind direction detection
function. Further, the full specification features additional video
control cameras, separate lighting controls for both economy and
business class and an additional working position for a flight attendant
at the wall of option galley at the back of the aircraft. Individual
gaspers over each passenger seat were also installed, thus improving
passenger comfort. The full aircraft is equipped with three lavatories
with diaper boards, and each three-seat-block in the cabin has an
additional oxygen mask. Instead of three galleys, the aircraft contains
four, one of which is equipped with two ovens. There is additional space
to fit a flight baby cot.

On the occasion of the 50th International Paris Airshow SuperJet International (SJI) – joint venture between Alenia Aermacchi (a Finmeccanica Company) and Sukhoi Holding – announced the delivery of its first Sukhoi Superjet 100 (SSJ100) aircraft to the Mexican airline Interjet. With an order for 20 aircraft plus 10 options, Interjet is the first western customer to take delivery of the SSJ100.



The aircraft has been presented for the first time at Le Bourget with its exclusive interior designed by Pininfarina in a 93-seats (34’ pitch) configuration, in accordance with Interjet high standards for passenger comfort. The SSJ100 is a 100-seat state-of-the-art regional jet, which incorporates the most modern Western technology and is powered by two PowerJet SaM146 engines.



The SSJ100 aircraft, developed and built by the Russian Sukhoi Civil Aircraft Company (SCAC) in partnership with Alenia Aermacchi, was painted, completed and customized at the SuperJet International facilities in Venice, Italy.

=Interjet is considered to be a crucial client for SSJ 100 in as much as the aircraft was previously only delivered to airlines in Russia, the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) and Southeast Asia. The Mexican carrier ordered 20 of the aircraft marketed by Superjet International (SJI), a joint venture between Alenia Aermacchi and Sukhoi. Interjet opted for a 93-seat all-economy-class configuration. The second aircraft is ready for delivery now, and the third is being customized at SJI facilities in Venice, Italy. SJI CEO Nazario Cauceglia says Interjet is expected to receive eight aircraft by year-end and the other 12 in 2014.

The manufacturer aims to roll out 26 aircraft this year, double last year's production. Ten aircraft have been assembled in the first six months and 16 more are to be manufactured by year-end, says Kalinovsky, adding that the number of assembled airframes does not equal the number of deliveries. SCAC plans to increase the production rate to three aircraft per month by year-end. In addition to the “green” aircraft for SJI, Sukhoi has deliveries planned to Aeroflot, Lao Central and Sky Aviation this year. Two ex-Armavia aircraft are ready to be shipped to Moskovia.
