China's Xiamen Airlines has placed an order with Boeing for six 787 aircraft.
Xiamen will take delivery of the aircraft "in stages" between 2014 and 2015, the carrier said in a notice to the Hong Kong stock exchange.
No engine selection has been listed.
Xiamen said earlier this year that it planned to add at least four new widebodies to its fleet after 2014. The carrier operates an all-Boeing fleet of 68 737s and 757s.
Xiamen in 2006 became the first operator to cancel a firm 787 order. The airline had an order for three 787-8s, which was dropped from Boeing's net order book in 2006.

DHL Express acquires 13 A300-600s for freighter conversion
By Kerry Reals
DHL Express has acquired 13 Airbus A300-600s which are to be converted into freighters by EADS' EFW division in Dresden. The aircraft will replace DHL's A300B4-200 fleet and will be integrated into the cargo operator's fleet by early 2013.The
first A300-600 is scheduled to enter the conversion line in early June
and will be delivered to DHL's Leipzig hub in October.DHL Express
managing director network operations Europe Bryan Jamison said the
A300-600s, which have a 49t payload and burn around 20% less fuel than
the A300B4-200s, will enable DHL to "take a big leap ahead towards our
goal of reducing our carbon emissions by 30% by 2020".DHL Express could not immediately be reached for further details.http://www.flightglobal.com/articles/2011/05/12/356546/dhl-express-acquires-13-a300-600s-for-freighter-conversion.html

20% de gains sur la conso entre l'A300B4 et l'A300-600 !
DHL Express veut
Sweden’s Braathens Aviation has placed a firm order for 10 Bombardier CSeries aircraft with options for 10 more, ending a 15-month order drought for the program, Bombardier Aerospace said June 1.
Braathens Leasing, a member of Braathens Aviation, has ordered five CS100 and five CS300 aircraft, an order worth $665 million at list prices. If all options are exercised, the deal could be worth as much as $1.37 billion. The aircraft will be operated by Braathens member Malmo Aviation from Bromma-Stockholm City Airport. “Bromma, being a city airport, has very strict noise regulations, as well as a short runway,” says Braathens CEO Knut Solberg. “With the CSeries, we have found exactly what we were looking for.”
In an interview with Aviation Week, Bombardier Commercial Aircraft President Gary Scott expressed confidence that the CSeries program would see more orders as the aircraft moved toward entry-into-service, slated for 2013. “It’s not too unusual to have a flurry of orders at the beginning of a program and have it fall off for a while,” he says. “Until you get inside of three years, the aircraft goes from a paper airplane to one you can actually see and feel.”
On the Braathens order, Scott notes, “This is great news for Bombardier, for the CSeries program and for our new customer.” However, he declined to answer whether more orders will be announced in the run up to the 2011 Paris air show later this month.
“We will definitely have more orders this year, and some of those could come at Paris and some could come after Paris,” he says. “We don’t time our orders to air shows.”
